Summary

Our client seeks an experienced attorney (minimum 8 years of experience) for its High Net Worth Trusts & Estates Group. The Group’s practice areas include all forms of trusts, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, wills, succession planning and charitable giving as part of estate plans. Candidate should be familiar with all aspects of the estate tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, gift tax and income taxation of trusts & estates. The ideal high-net-worth trust and estates attorney should be readily experienced in structuring trust and estate matters for high-net-worth individuals owning real estate and closely held businesses and for working with family offices. Candidate should have experience with structuring estate plans for the continuation of businesses and trust jurisdictions in Delaware, South Dakota & Alaska.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of trusts and estates experience for high-net-worth individuals and family office at a senior level in a law firm environment
  • Academic excellence or other record of achievement
  • Strong writing skills
  • Confident, mature presence and speaking ability
  • Some portables is preferred
  • General income tax experience is a plus.
  • Admission to the New York bar is required

Compensation

$350,000-$400,000 base compensation, plus origination percentages scale
