Summary
The Firm is seeking a highly skilled, knowledgeable and motivated estate and trust administration paralegal to join the Trusts & Estates Practice Group in providing estate and trust administration services in connection with the firm’s substantial practice.

Responsibilities
• Handles all aspects of New Jersey and New York probate, including drafting court forms, petitions and orders applicable with respect to probate proceedings;
• Prepares and files federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns, including working with executors to assemble the decedent’s asset and liability information and valuation work needed for the preparation of estate and/or inheritance tax returns.
• Substantial client interaction with executors and trustees from the inception of an estate through final distribution of assets and funding sub-trusts, as applicable.
• Assist with the administration of lifetime and testamentary trusts, including implementation of trustee changes, waivers and releases of fiduciaries, preparation or review of informal or formal trust accountings.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• A minimum of three years of experience as an estate administration paralegal or fiduciary accountant.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Delivers excellent work product with close attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel), and other law office software used by the Trust & Estates Paralegals. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to work proactively.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
• Experience with probate and administration of small estates, with experience with large and complex estate and trust administration a plus.

Compensation: $80,000.00-$115,000.00, plus overtime and bonus
