Senior Conflicts Attorney

 Summary

The Senior Conflicts Attorney will participate in all aspects of conflicts searching and new business intake and will be a member of the team responsible for clearing conflicts for lateral lawyer and staff candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting partners of the firm with the identification, analysis, and resolution of potential legal and business conflicts.
  • Drafting and reviewing engagement letters and waivers.
  • Clearing conflicts for incoming lateral candidates.
  • Provide advice to the firm’s lawyers on conflicts and new business intake-related ethics rules and policies.
  • Assist with departmental projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • JD required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a conflicts department required.
  • Significant knowledge of the rules governing conflicts of interest and experience analyzing conflicts of interest in a law firm environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility to manage a varied workload in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent character and personal integrity to work with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance in accordance with the schedule set forth by the department. A hybrid schedule is an essential function of this role

Compensation

$200,000.00, plus bonus-flexible based on experience
