Recruiting Intelligence and Candidate Coordinator

Summary
A leading national law firm with over 400 lawyers and 300 business services professionals, and offices across the United States, seeks a Recruiting Intelligence and Candidate Coordinator. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Growth & Initiatives and the Senior Manager of Partner Recruiting, this role supports the firm’s strategic lateral partner recruiting efforts through market intelligence, research, reporting, candidate coordination, and process management. The position plays a key part in identifying talent opportunities, monitoring market trends, supporting candidate engagement, and helping to advance the firm’s growth objectives.
Responsibilities
Research and Market Intelligence
- Conduct market and competitive intelligence research to identify prospective lateral attorney talent, target firms and firm practices, and emerging industry trends.
- Utilize legal industry research platforms (e.g., Firm Prospects, Pirical, Leopard Solutions, LinkedIn, Chambers, firm websites) to develop talent maps, target lists, and competitive intelligence.
- Monitor attorney movement, law firm growth initiatives, and broader market developments to identify strategic recruiting opportunities.
- Prepare reports to support lateral recruiting strategy.
- Maintain the accuracy of recruiting databases, talent mapping, research, and reporting to support current and future searches.
- Assist with special projects and other strategic research initiatives, as needed.
Candidate Coordination
- Coordinate all aspects of the partner interview process, including scheduling interviews, preparing itineraries, communicating with candidates, search firms, and attorneys, and ensuring a seamless candidate scheduling experience.
- Solicit attorney interview feedback and conduct feedback follow-up where needed.
- Maintain recruiting records and candidate status updates within the firm’s candidate tracking systems.
- Partner with the Senior Manager of Partner Recruiting, Head of Strategic Growth & Initiatives, search firms, and candidates to facilitate interview logistics and support an efficient recruiting process.
- Schedule and coordinate logistics for search firm meetings; track attendees and maintain records of meeting content.
- Support the Lateral Recruiting Manager for Associates, Counsel, and Patent Agents, and other recruiting team Coordinators, as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, market research, analytics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and present market intelligence and competitive data in a clear and meaningful manner.
- Knowledge of the legal industry, law firm structures, attorney recruiting, and market trends preferred.
- Experience utilizing research and business intelligence platforms such as Leopard Solutions, Firm Prospects, Pirical, LinkedIn, and Chambers a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint; solid experience producing reports and graphs using formulas and functions.
- Proficiency with AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact effectively with attorneys, candidates, search firms, and firm leadership.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing recruiting and operational challenges.
- Reliable attendance record and punctuality.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- This role requires travel to other offices on an as-needed basis.
Compensation: $70,000.00-$80,000.00, plus overtime and bonus
