Records Supervisor

Summary
The Records Supervisor oversees the Records Department and is responsible for operations, policies and procedures within the department. The Records Supervisor will oversee current processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with established Firm procedures.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and proficiency in records management databases.
- Supervise records staff, conduct performance evaluations, provide training and offer coaching.
- Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of requests received by records team.
- Communicate records management best practices and procedures to attorneys and support staff.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Coordinate projects specific to Practice Groups.
- Perform tasks that align with the Firm’s requirements.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two to three years of supervisory experience in records management.
- One to two years of experience in a law firm environment.
- Team-oriented with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and internal personal skills.
- Experience interfacing with internal clients, such as attorneys and assistants.
- Knowledge of file and recordkeeping systems and procedures.
- Familiar with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the legal field.
- Proficient in standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly-pressured environment.
- Adept at multitasking, organizing and prioritizing numerous tasks to complete them in a timely manner.
- Be able to lift and carry 50 lb trans-file boxes.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, etc.
Compensation
Our client provides competitive compensation and benefits to its employees ensuring that they attract and retain the most talented individuals. The expected base salary for this role ranges from $105,000 – $115,000. The base salary offer is based on a variety of factors which includes, but not limited to qualifications, education and experience.
