Pricing Specialist

Summary
A leading national law firm is searching for a Pricing Specialist to join our team. This role can be hired as hybrid, in either Chicago, St. Louis, Boston, or New York.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for all pricing-related requests, including discounts, rate exceptions, and general inquiries; triage and route items to appropriate team members
- Manage intake, tracking, and prioritization of pricing requests, ensuring all items are logged, monitored, and brought to completion
- Act as the liaison between Pricing and Billing/eBilling teams, coordinating communication, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment on rate implementation and client terms
- Coordinate approvals and maintain documentation of pricing decisions to ensure consistency, auditability, and clear recordkeeping
- Maintain and update pricing trackers, templates, and process documentation, keeping materials accurate and accessible to the broader team
- Support recurring reporting and data requests, including compiling standard reports, pulling data, and assisting with basic analysis
- Monitor open items and proactively follow up with attorneys, billing, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
- Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and recurring issues, and help design and implement improvements to increase efficiency and consistency
- Assist in designing and maintaining workflows across Pricing, Billing, eBilling, and other stakeholders to ensure clear handoffs and reduce ambiguity
- Support the development and rollout of tools, templates, and procedures, including intake forms, communication templates, and reporting structures
- Provide administrative and coordination support for pricing initiatives, including meeting coordination, agenda prep, and follow-ups
- Help maintain consistent communication standards, including intake requirements, turnaround expectations, and escalation protocols
- Serve as a general resource to attorneys and internal teams, responding to routine questions and escalating more complex issues as needed
Requirements
- Finance/Business-focused Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Law firm experience strongly preferred
- 2 – 5+ years of professional experience in finance, pricing, or legal support
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail and quality
- Highly motivated with ability to drive results and work independently
- Strong analytical skills with good verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
- Highly proficient with advanced MS Excel functions
Compensation
- The budgeted salary range for this position is $75,000.00-$95,000.00.
