Manager of IT Training & Development

Summary

Premier, national, law firm is seeking a Training Manager to lead the development and delivery of firmwide training programs focused on technology, systems, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role is responsible for ensuring attorneys and staff are equipped to use the firm’s technology effectively, consistently, and securely in support of client service and firm operations. The ideal candidate brings experience training professionals in a law firm or similar professional services environment and has the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, user-focused learning. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive training program aligned with the firm’s technology strategy and business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training for attorneys and staff on core systems, applications, workflows, and best practices.
  • Support technology rollouts, upgrades, and enhancements through structured training and change management initiatives.
  • Oversee technology onboarding for new hires, ensuring timely and consistent systems adoption.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including documentation, guides, and on-demand resources.
  • Manage training schedules, participation tracking, and learning content repositories or LMS platforms.
  • Partner closely with IT, Practice Management, and HR to assess training needs and address skill gaps.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve programs based on feedback and usage metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in training, professional development, or instructional design, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Experience delivering technology-focused training to attorneys or other professionals strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of law firm systems and workflows, including document management, timekeeping, billing, and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the firm.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

Salary: $120,000.00-$150,000.00, plus bonus. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. 

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 3 days in the office.
