Litigation Paralegal         

A major Wall Street law firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal. The successful candidate must be a well-organized individual who has the ability to effectively manage simultaneous projects in the Firm’s large litigation department.  Attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, are key requirements.

As a Litigation Paralegal, you must have familiarity with Westlaw, Lexis and litigation support programs such as IPRO, Relativity, Livenote and TextMap.

Your day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation for and assisting with depositions, including the organization of potential exhibits and digesting,
  • Cite checking/Bluebooking to ensure the validity of the cites and accuracy of everything in the Brief,
  • Preparing for and assisting with trial, trial witnesses, exhibits and subpoenas,
  • Extensive interaction with Litigation Support databases
  • Preparing and arranging for transmittal of correspondence, legal documents, etc.

This position requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of general litigation experience. The ideal candidate will enjoy being a team player as well as working independently; exhibit a positive, helpful attitude and the ability to maintain confidential information; exercise good judgment and follow through on assigned tasks.  Candidate must be able to hit the ground running with little training. Overtime is an essential function of this job.
