Litigation Associate

The Los Angeles office of a premier, global, law firm is seeking an associate with 4 or more years of broad-based litigation experience to join their Litigation Department. Candidates should have excellent research, analytical and drafting skills, consistent attention to detail, and strong verbal and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial. Candidates should also have specific litigation experience on commercial litigation issues, including breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and/or breach of fiduciary duty.  Additional experience in real estate, land use, trusts and estates, and intellectual property litigation is highly desirable. A strong academic record and admission to the California Bar are required.

The firm reasonably expects to pay between $270,000.00-$325,000.00 in annual base compensation for this position. The base compensation offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the selected candidate’s qualifications and years of relevant experience. Additionally, associates who meet the firm’s minimum performance standards (including billing at least 1900 hours), can reasonably expect a discretionary bonus. The discretionary bonus may be increased based on the number of hours billed and collected in excess of 1900 hours. Separately, the Firm credits associates with an additional bonus on work they originate.
