Litigation Associate

Summary
Our client is seeking is seeking a highly qualified 4th – 6th year litigation associate to join the Commercial Litigation group in the Orange County office. The ideal candidate has experience in both state and federal court, researching and writing, drafting and leading hearings and motions, taking depositions, and general litigation support.
Their Dispute Resolution & Restructuring Department serves a wide variety of clients in connection with many exciting and challenging matters in a dynamic environment. The team is comprised of high performing, creative thinking trial lawyers. This position will provide an opportunity for greatly accelerated professional development, working directly with the senior members of the group, and require a desire to do the work necessary to capture that opportunity.

Qualifications
• Candidates must be barred in California, have outstanding academic credentials, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comparable law firm and/or clerkship experience preferred.
• Qualified candidates will have experience conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, witness preparation, and taking/ defending depositions preferred.

Skills & Experience
Required
• Candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and all levels of personnel and handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, while demonstrating initiative, diplomacy and tact when under pressure.

The salary range for this position is $285,000.00-$350,000.00, plus bonus.
