A leading law firm has a position available for an experienced full-time in-office Legal Administrative Assistant (Legal Secretary) in their Boston office, supporting Commercial Litigation and Business practice attorneys. This is an in-office role. This is a tremendous opportunity for an individual who is the right fit and interested in developing their career in a growing office of a top-tier, national law firm.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Must possess 5+ years of litigation experience.
- Must be versed in State and Federal Court e-filing.
- Must have an understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and local and state court rules.
- Management experience is a plus.
- Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including the expertise of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to manage files, open new matters as attorneys request, and maintain all relevant document inclusions for the files.
- Responsible for various administrative tasks including strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage calendars and travel schedules.
- Assist with billing projects and reviews.
- Qualified candidates must possess strong initiative, as well as demonstrate an ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues/problems independently. Other essential requirements for this position include the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to develop rapport with co-workers as well as clients; maintain strong working relationships; handle confidential and sensitive information; and possess strong proofreading and typing skills.
Compensation
The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$110,000.00.annually, plus overtime.
