Lateral Recruiting Assistant
The U.S. Legal Recruiting team leads the firm’s efforts to attract and hire top-tier law students and lateral attorneys. We are seeking a Lateral Recruiting Assistant to play a key role in supporting our lateral hiring strategy across U.S. offices (New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco).
In this role, you will be aligned with a core practice area—either Dispute Resolution or Corporate—enabling you to build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to a more connected, practice-focused recruiting model. You will report to the Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting and collaborate closely with partners, practice group leaders, and search firms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lateral Recruiting
- Coordinate and track lateral associate, counsel, and partner candidates across all U.S. offices
- Serve as a point of contact for candidates, ensuring a seamless and professional interview experience (in-person and virtual)
- Maintain recruiting databases, trackers, and candidate records with precision and attention to detail
- Support interview scheduling and logistics, including managing calendars and arranging conference rooms and catering
- Assist with communications to search firms and internal stakeholders, including practice group leaders, under guidance from senior team members
- Monitor and manage the recruiting inbox, ensuring timely and organized responses
Team & Firm Support
- Provide day-to-day support to the U.S. Legal Recruiting team
- Contribute to law student recruiting efforts during peak seasons
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for fall associates and laterals
- Support office tours and candidate experiences across recruiting programs
- Partner collaboratively with colleagues across recruiting, HR, and other business services teams
- Take on special projects and initiatives as the team continues to evolve and enhance its recruiting approach
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Ability to work independently and be proactive
- Ability to work under pressure and exhibit a professional demeanor
- Ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities
- Ability to be a team player and exercise good judgment
- Strong computer skills and preferably familiarity with Microsoft Office, LawCruit, and Workday
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be willing to work outside of standard business hours as needed to support priorities and deadlines (note, core in-office days are Monday – Thursday)
COMPENSATION
$65,000.00 plus overtime and bonus.
