IT Support Analyst

A midsize global law firm seeks an IT Support Analyst to act as help desk support for the firm’s New York, Washington, D.C., London, and Paris offices. The IT Support Analyst will report to the IT Director.

Responsibilities  

  • First responder to user support requests.
    • Printer/Hardware issues
    • Toner replacement
    • Application problems
  • Support and service for virtual and local desktops, laptop, peripheral hardware and software (drivers, printers, Windows updates).
  • Management and maintenance of shared print server, copier, and scanner network
  • Handle all facilities requests:
    • Meeting room setups,
    • Offsite war room support as needed.
  • Mobility 1 (Handhelds/Tablets):
    • Secure Mobile Device Management Platform Administration
  • Mobility 2 (Laptops/MIFIs):
    • Prepare, test and log all laptop/MIFI loans to users
    • Refresh/update/charge when returned.
  • Responsible for hardware research quotes and purchases for approval:
    • desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
    • New and replacement handhelds and mobility devices.
  • Assist with special technical projects as required (databases, Wikipedia, design, etc.)
  • Setup and deploy new user office computers and peripherals.
  • Order all technical supplies:
    • chargers, adapters, drives, cables
    • log purchases in budget and submit to accounting.
  • Rare home visits for critical user support.
  • Act as backup to Systems Admin and other team members when needed.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related program preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of help desk support experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer and equipment operation is required.
  • Must be tech savvy and comfortable with conducting online research.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware, software, Microsoft Windows-based systems and internet applications.
  • Virtualization experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Resourceful, creative, dependable, proactive, friendly, can-do attitude

This position is based in our New York office with a current hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office, 2 days working remotely. This is a non-exempt position with a typical shift being 9am-5pm with occasional overtime. The expected salary range is $65,000.00-$73,000.00, plus overtime and bonus depending on experience.
