eDiscovery Analyst

Summary

Our client seeks an eDiscovery Analyst to assist our eDiscovery Manager with the full ediscovery and legal support life-cycle including but not limited to conducting searches, liaising with vendors, loading and delivery of data as directed, and performing QA/QC in accordance with court rules, Firm policies, and client needs. The eDiscovery Analyst will report to the eDiscovery Manager while working collaboratively with individuals and groups across the Firm including but not limited to paralegals, associates, partners, counsel and other case stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with case teams and senior legal technology team members to assess and support technology needs, and acts as junior project manager throughout all stages of the litigation process
  • Utilize eDiscovery software, Relativity, to process and analyze large volumes of data, including deduplication, filtering, and keyword searching
  • Owns data loading, formatting, coding, and delivery as directed by the eDiscovery Manager
  • Assists with managing vendors, including assuring deliverables meet requested specifications and are delivered on schedule and on budget
  • Oversees data acquisition and delivery to vendors
  • Collaborates with eDiscovery Manage to review details on a matter in order to provide case team with optimal technology solutions, such as the use of analytics; troubleshoots and recommends technical solutions to case team issues
  • Performs Quality Control measures on all processes to ensure incoming and outgoing data files meet project-specific and industry standards
  • Maintains chain of custody tracking spreadsheets for data received and loaded for each project
  • Complies with department and firm administrative procedures and policies
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-4 years of experience in eDiscovery or litigation support related role (i.e. legal technology, data management, paralegal)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Superior project management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of technical systems including but not limited to Relativity (required), iPro Eclipse or similar software, iManage, MS Office Suite and willingness to learn new technical systems
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfort independently and collaboratively working on multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Demonstrated high degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • Resourceful, creative, dependable, proactive, can-do attitude

Compensation

This is a nonexempt position with an expected annual salary range of $75,000 – $100,000 depending on experience. This position is based in our client’s New York office with a current hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office, 2 days working remotely.
