Summary
- The Legal Personnel Director will support the Antitrust Department, across all offices, with the overall administration of the department, talent management, staffing, lateral integration, the evaluation process and strategic plans for the department.
- Responsibilities
- Provide support to Antitrust Department leadership in connection with overall administration of the department including advancing talent development, retention, and firm culture.
- Utilize financial reporting, analytics, and benchmarking to monitor growth and improve associate productivity; collaborate with Antitrust Department assigning partners in connection with same.
- Strategize with Antitrust Department leadership and members of Legal Personnel to develop, implement and enforce firm policies and new initiatives.
- Oversee and resolve issues surrounding leaves of absence, client secondments, office transfers and alternative work schedules
- In collaboration with Legal Personnel – Operations team, oversee the annual evaluation process for antitrust associates and counsel and monitor identified performance issues.
- Develop relationships with and serve as a resource for the antitrust associates in connection with professional development, interpersonal issues, morale, and firm life.
- Assist with lateral associate integration and development to facilitate effective transition into department.
- Track the department’s pipeline for promotion. Manage the annual promotion process for the group
- Conduct exit interviews with departing antitrust associates and compile and analyze attrition data.
- Oversee planning and coordination of Antitrust Department meetings and events.
- Liaise with other administrative departments, including Finance, Recruiting, Professional Development & Training, Career Development, Inclusion and Business Development in furtherance of the above.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required, J.D. preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of professional service experience, with a minimum of 5 years of law firm experience; experience in practice group or talent management in large law firm preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with attorneys and staff throughout the Firm.
- Highly organized and self-directed approach to work with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with intense client service orientation.
- Creativity in developing solutions and achieving results.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel and other sensitive matters.
Compensation
- $250,000.00-$300,000.00, annually, plus bonus
