Summary
Premier, national, law firm is seeking a Lateral Associate with commercial technology contracting expertise to join its Corporate Services Group as a Technology Transactions Associate in their St. Louis, Denver, Kansas City, or Washington DC office. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ of experience with commercial technology contracts, licensing agreements, “Software as a Service” agreements, and data privacy laws, including but not limited to drafting and negotiating various technology contracts, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and advising clients on various intellectual property and privacy matters. Candidates who have some experience and are looking to specialize are encouraged to apply.

Required Education
- Juris Doctor
Required Licenses and/or Certifications
- Licensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the Firm conducts business; must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years’ experience with technology contract review, license agreements, “Software as a Service” agreements, data privacy laws and policies, and other transactional work; substantial experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating sophisticated corporate and commercial documents. Prior experience working at a law firm is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Indirect-actively utilizes support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction

- The employee will be required to sit (or utilize a standing desk) for prolonged periods and work on a computer

Salary Ranges: Ranges are fluid depending on experience, areas of expertise, licenses, etc.
Denver range: $195,000.00-$220,000.00, plus bonus
Washington DC range: $195,000.00-$245,000.00, plus bonus
