Summary

Our client is looking for a Partner or practice group with corporate transactional, corporate governance and/or capital market experience that focuses on servicing small cap or mid-cap public companies to join its Corporate/Securities/Transactional practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience at Partner level in a law firm environment with a portable book in excess of $2 million
  • High level of academic achievement
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Confident, mature presence and speaking ability
  • Admission to the New York bar is required

Compensation

$350,000-$400,000 base compensation, plus origination percentages scale

Within the firm’s Corporate/Securities/Transactional practice, corporate attorneys negotiate a wide variety of corporate, strategic and financing transactions, working with market-leading private and public companies, hedge funds, private equity firms, other global investors, and academic research institutions. Corporate attorneys at the firm also act as outside general counsel to clients advising on, among other items, corporate governance, legal compliance, including SEC regulatory and stock exchange requirements, and risk management.

The firm offers flexible and competitive fee arrangements and rates to service public company clients of a smaller size that may be outpriced by larger law firms and has the requisite specialists to support all corporate needs of public company clients.

The ideal candidate/group should have a corporate practice that is complementary or synergistic with those described above and an interest in working in a collegial and supportive firm, providing its clients with best-in-class work product, expertise and service.
