Corporate Governance-Counsel

Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced corporate governance lawyer to join them as an of counsel in their Washington, D.C. or New York office. Candidates must have significant experience advising on the technical aspects of corporate governance best practices, securities laws, stock exchange corporate governance standards, proxy advisory firm policies, bylaws, other governance policies and codes of conduct. Ideal candidates will have 8 or more years of experience, including some law firm experience. They must also have strong writing and research skills and must be detail oriented. This position offers flexibility with no travel required. Class of 2013 or senior (including Of Counsel).

Skills & Experience

Required

• Candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school
• Must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice.

• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and all levels of personnel and handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.

Salary range: $450,000 – $485,000 plus bonus. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
