Client E-Billing Specialist
Summary
The Client E-Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely submission of e-bills to some of the firm’s largest clients. They will work closely with clients, partners, legal and support staff to resolve any issues which may hinder submission and collection of invoices. They will research and take action to resolve any unsuccessful submissions or client rejected invoices.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the prompt submission of invoices via clients’ e-billing portals
- Analyze invoices to ensure compliance with Firm policies and client guidelines
- Assist with setting up new matters in individual e-billing platforms
- Monitor e-billing systems for status of submitted invoices
- Maintain e-billing status information in internal database
- Research causes of rejected invoices, initiate action and follows up until submissions are successful
- Assist with special projects as needed
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 years of legal e-billing experience
- Proficiency in Excel
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Experience with Elite Legal Billing System a plus
- Detail oriented
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to review and interpret reports
- Initiative to follow up and resolve issues preventing billing
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with clients and colleagues
- Team player with superior customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to heavy workloads and deadlines in a fast paced environment
