Business Development Analyst

About the role
As a Business Development Analyst, you will play a key role across the full marketing and business development (“BD”) spectrum and will report to the Business Development Manager II – New York. In addition to supporting office wide Business Development and marketing initiatives, you will work in close collaboration with team members on projects related to the Corporate, Finance, Tax, Litigation and ELR departments. Other key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the New York office and its key practices
- Assisting in the onboarding and integration of New York lateral partners and counsel
- Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
- Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of practices, markets, relevant industry sectors, and/or clients as assigned
- Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams
- Coordinating the research of markets, competition, and conflicts for the department and practice groups to drive strategy
- Collaborating with Client Programs & Events team to organize events and client engagement opportunities for lawyers (e.g., panel/speaking opportunities, seminars, sporting events, dinners/receptions, etc.)
- Collaborating with lawyers, BD, and Brand & Communications teams on various PR and marketing initiatives including speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiatives
- Developing internal communications to inform relevant practice and industry groups of significant achievements, developments, and market synergies
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and web site content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists, where appropriate
- Providing support for legal directories and related industry guides

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00, dependent on experience
