Business Development Analyst-Latin America Department

The Business Development Analyst will support the Senior Business Development Specialist, in helping to drive business development and marketing support for the Latin American (Latam) partners and practices.  The role will involve working with individual partners and the firm’s global Business Development, Marketing & Communications, PR/Communications, and Events teams, to develop and advance strategic business development planning and related initiatives and enhance the external market profile of the firm’s NY office, the Capital Markets and Development practice firmwide and the firm’s partners and practices globally. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of custom pitches and RFPs; track success rates ; collaborate with core BD team in following and advocating best practices
  • Assist in the preparation of relevant league tables and directory submissions; prepare talking points; identify and track practice specific awards and  submissions
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of marketing collateral (brochures, capability presentations, web content including website biographies, practice or industry descriptions), marketing files (electronic or otherwise), promotional items, experience and client contact lists, and calendar of firm and industry events.
  • Assist in the coordination of events, sponsorships, charitable contributions, CLEs, seminars and conferences including logistics planning, and production both in-house and outside the firm, including on-site event support
  • Supports monitoring the marketplace for key opportunities, including identifying deal leads,  industry initiatives, and ongoing community and / or potential client activity
  • Assist with the design and execution of new business initiatives for the practices including thought leadership, events, client seminars and / or training programs with communications, core BD and other administrative teams and firmwide departments
  • Assist with high-level document production and support by proof-reading and reviewing firm materials, collaterals, proposals, etc.
  • Responsible for tracking business development related expenses, preparation of reports, processing department invoices, generating check requests, and maintaining documentation
  • Assists with high level market research reports utilizing firm research tools
  • Assist with other related duties as assigned
  • Coordinate with the PR/Communications team to identify media opportunities, including speaking and by-lined articles; facilitate publication of articles, social media posts and other targeted industry opportunities

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year in professional services role or professional services internship experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor degree required; degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Business preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe and MS Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Spanish fluency (verbal and written)

  • Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours as needed
  • Ability to commute to and work standard work business hours in the office on a daily basis
