Trademark Docket Clerk

Summary
This position will sit in our client’s Roseland, NJ office and currently offers a hybrid remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Docket and maintain deadlines relating to all phases of trademark applications and enforcement matters in CPi database.
- Review all incoming correspondence from USPTO, foreign associates, attorneys and paralegals for essential docketing.
- Prepare comprehensive docket and status reports for circulation as needed for attorneys and clients.
- Closely monitor trademark inbox and deadlines and follow-up with attorneys & paralegals.
- Facilitate transfers of matters or portfolios.
- Record any changes in title, owner, address, and counsel, as appropriate.
- Support paralegals with trademark maintenance (extensions, renewals, use filings, etc.) by reviewing docket, using established forms to prepare and send correspondence to clients about upcoming deadlines, assist with filing basic maintenance forms in the USPTO.
- Prepare written communications to foreign associates, attorneys and clients during screening, filing, prosecution and maintenance of domestic and foreign trademark applications and registrations.
- Prepare foreign search and filing estimates.
- Prepare Power of Attorney forms and coordinate client execution as well as legalization with vendors, as needed.
- Save incoming correspondence and documents to applicable e-files.
- Assist with diligence searches, research assignments and administrative projects, and prepare reports in connection therewith.
- Coordinate documentation for the prosecution or defense of contested matters worldwide.
- Provide support to trademark team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college is preferred.
- 3 plus years of law firm experience preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software product with Excel skills preferred. CPi experience a plus.
- Enjoy working with a team.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $51,888-$85,412. Compensation depends on multiple factors, including experience and qualifications.
