Tax Analyst

Summary

Our growing Tax department is looking for a Tax Analyst.  General responsibilities include, but not limited to, assisting the Manager of Tax & Equity Partner Compensation with monthly, quarterly and yearly filings across our US and European offices.  They will be instrumental in refining and enforcing tax controls and procedures in connection with the US office, as well as, promoting excellence in a service oriented and team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in tax planning initiatives
  • Prepare state indirect tax returns (sales/use, personal property, etc.) & ensure all tax filings and payments are made in a timely manner
  • Analyze data included in US & UK tax returns
  • Review of all periodic tax returns in a timely manner using applicable information
  • Maintain well-ordered and updated tax archives
  • Reconcile tax and equity related accounts on a monthly basis
  • Participate and assist in month and year-end general ledger balancing against tax reporting
  • Coordinate and review year-end tax audit
  • Gather, analyze data and provide relevant information/recommendations in regard to equity partner compensation and distributions
  • Maintain and update equity partner compensation and tracking of all relevant information related to tax
  • Ensure a high level of data integrity pertaining to equity partner compensation information for tax purposes
  • Assist the Manager of Tax & Equity Partner Compensation with additional projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or graduate degree in taxation
  • 3-6 years of related tax experience
  • Good understanding of tax concepts
  • Experience working in public accounting or law firm setting a plus
  • Experience with professional service organizations cash or tax basis of reporting is highly desirable
  • Experience in partnership, pass-through entities, and individual tax returns
  • Detail and service oriented, a self-starter and team player with the ability to effectively communicate
  • Very strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Compensation

Salary range based on experience and location: $65,000 – $90,000 (exempt)
