What You Will Do
The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will support the Manager of On Campus & Entry Level Recruiting in the recruitment of law student and new attorney candidates for Firm, with a particular focus on assisting with summer associate candidate management and data reporting, summer program and law school event planning, and special projects.
Essential Job Requirements
Summer Associate Candidate Management
- Coordinate, parse and maintain candidate data in the applicant tracking system (viDesktop)
- Schedule 1L and 2L candidate interviews
- Coordinate candidate travel
- Prepare materials for on campus interviewers
- Collect, organize, and distribute interview feedback
- Assist with preparing for Recruiting Committee evaluation meetings for summer associate candidates
Summer Program
- Assist with onboarding summer associates
- Assist with planning summer events
- Source vendors and manage relationships
- Review event contracts
- Oversee summer program budget
- Track attendance at events
Law Schools
- Assist with organizing law school receptions
- Work with marketing department to design invitations, menus, and firm giveaways
Special Projects – Assist as needed
Reporting – Prepare applicant statistic reports using viDesktop & Excel
General
- Escort candidates to appropriate meeting places, make introductions
- Provide administrative/clerical support to the Manager
- Be familiar with and adhere to firm policies and procedures
- Seek timely solutions to work conflicts and priorities
- Keep track of open items and initiate timely follow-up
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably within a legal recruiting department
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Prior experience with database entry is helpful
- Must be able to comport oneself professionally as a representative of the firm in an array of situations, interacting with all levels of the organization, candidates, and various external resources
- Experience with DE&I initiatives is a plus
- Strong verbal and written skills are required
- Exceptional organizational skills are an integral part of this role
- Uphold a professional demeanor at all times
- Display an attitude of cooperation with legal staff, peers and administrators
