IP Litigation Paralegal

Large, premier, forward thinking, NYC based law firm seeks an IP Litigation Paralegal with well-rounded experience in all facets of patent, trademark and trade secret litigation. Strong cite-checking skills, organizational skills, computer skills, attention to detail, team player and resourcefulness are a must. Proficiency with Relativity, TextMap, Westlaw, Lexis, Pacer, Acrobat, Word and Excel required. Flexibility with overtime and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must. Private office for paralegals.
Position involves being able to assist attorneys and to work independently to:
- Monitor case filings for deadlines to be docketed;
- Proof docket entries;
- Research litigations using Docket Navigator and Pacer;
- Efficiently prepare court filings including check briefs for formatting, Blue book cases, download cases, check pinpoint citations, check citations to the court record and exhibits, prepare the exhibits, draft ancillary pleadings (notices, declarations and proposed orders), review the local court requirements, edit and revise as necessary, finalize papers for e-filing, e-file if necessary, and serve the final papers;
- Archive and organize all case materials;
- Assure all materials are distributed to all team members;
- Prepare issue binders as needed;
- Coordinate with Litigation Support regarding upload of client documents and productions;
- Relativity review of documents for production, confidentiality or a privilege log, redact documents in Relativity or Excel, finalize and serve document productions, search and tag productions and review documents;
- Prepare potential exhibits for depositions, hearings and trials; and
- Support attorneys at hearings and trials.
