Summary
A midsize global law firm is seeking a Rankings & Awards Specialist to join our Marketing Department. This position will focus on writing submissions for the various directories, rankings, surveys, and awards for all offices with the goal of making a compelling case to enhance the firm’s profile.
Responsibilities
- Draft compelling narratives about the work and accomplishments across all practice areas
- Work with attorneys to gather information about specific matters and practice group and attorney achievements
- Develop written submissions for various directories including Chambers and the Legal 500, among other prominent organizations
- Highlight the success of our attorneys, firm strengths and developments, and client accomplishments
- Align submissions with the business strategies of the practice and strictly follow client preferences and ethical considerations
- Gather and collate client referrals pertaining to the various submissions
- Manage a comprehensive calendar of ranking publications, directories, surveys, and awards due dates and requirements
- Assist with identifying new opportunities through a continual, and proactive, survey of the rankings landscape
- Track the firm’s directory rankings and other accolades
- Act as point of contact for all rankings and alert partners to the various pending submission deadlines
- Draft and edit firm profiles for top directories
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited college or university required
- 2-4 years prior rankings experience
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail; consistently polished work product
- Experience with the use of online information databases, tools, and resources
- Excellent project management skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail
- Intellectually curious, motivated, team player with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to work independently without direct guidance
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects with little direction
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented, while still being able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
