Business Development Analyst – Funds

Summary
The Business Development Analyst will leverage his/her research, writing and analytical skills to support the firm in executing business development and marketing initiatives for his/her assigned practice groups. The analyst will work closely with attorneys and other members of the Global Business Development team to achieve Firm and office business development goals.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of pitches and RFP responses, including by:
- Drafting and customizing pitch and proposal content;
- Liaising with attorneys and other administrative departments to collect relevant information;
- Editing, assembling and submitting final pitches and proposals; and
- Maintaining records for, and analyzing outcomes of, pitches and fee proposals.
- Assist with the development and execution of business development strategies, plans and projects, including identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and targets, facilitating cross-selling initiatives and participating on client-specific target teams.
- Collaborating with the Research & Competitive Intelligence team to generate detailed client intelligence reports in advance of pitches and other client meetings and in connection with targeting projects; and preparing competitive and market analysis reports.
- Attending practice group and client team meetings and preparing agendas, materials and minutes in connection with such meetings.
- Supporting practice groups with compiling directory submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000.
- Assisting PR Team with award submissions and other profile-raising initiatives.
- Liaising with Events team to plan and execute internal and external events, seminars and webinars and assist with sponsorships.
- Working with CRM team to maintain and update BD activities and frequently used mailing lists in Firm CRM system.
- Liaising with Communications Teams on website content and other practice-specific content.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, liberal arts or related field desired.
- Two to four years of relevant marketing/business development experience, and knowledge of Real Estate, Investment Fund Formation, and/or Tax, a plus. Law firm/professional services or marketing experience is highly desirable.
- The position requires a high-energy and motivated team player. The individual must be able to adapt to change, balance competing demands and manage demands outside of traditional business hours.

- Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
- Excellent analytical and research skills and the ability to process information from a wide variety of sources and present in a concise manner.
- Strong ability to handle time-sensitive requests and work in a fast-paced environment. Expected to monitor emails outside of normal business hours and be available as needed.
- Strong computer skills with various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), CRM and research tools. Experience with InterAction, Foundation, Preqin, Capital IQ, Thomson/Refinitiv, Bloomberg, and Mergermarket, a plus.
