While much in today’s world feels uncertain, our client’s purpose is clear: to navigate new paths for growth for their clients and employees.  They have an immediate opening in their Business Development department for an experienced and motivated Marketing Communications Coordinator based in their Los Angeles office.

The Marketing Communications Coordinator will play a key role in creating engaging communications that tell the firm’s story, position their lawyers as thought leaders, and raise their visibility in the marketplace. The Coordinator will work closely with many areas of the organization to create, edit, and leverage marketing content across all communication channels-including print, digital and video-to enhance engagement and increase traffic. In addition, the role will coordinate and support various firm marketing communications and internal communications efforts.  This is a role for someone with strong experience in corporate communications, who is a skilled writer and creative thinker, who can interact effectively with a variety of competing internal and external stakeholders, and who can successfully coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategic planning and development of external, internal, marketing and brand communications, including researching, writing, and editing a wide range of content
  • Help effectively communicate our key differentiators and promote client successes and thought leadership in innovative ways in support of the firm’s business development strategy
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Alumni Relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility teams, as well as other stakeholders, to develop and implement integrated marketing and internal communications plans to effectively tell the firm’s story to target audiences
  • Assist with brand communications to raise both external and internal awareness and empower our people to be effective brand ambassadors
  • Support the evolution and coordinate the ongoing management of the firm’s intranet and alumni website
  • Create content for and assist with the execution of a variety of digital marketing initiatives, including the firm’s website, videos and social media
  • Contribute to building and maintaining institutional intelligence in support of communications and business development efforts
  • Keep apprised of best practices to increase engagement and contribute to the development of new communication tools
  • Work overtime as required
  • Handle additional related projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of experience working in corporate communications/marketing, preferably in professional services or a similar B2B environment
  • At least 3 years of experience coordinating and creating content for corporate websites and intranets
  • Advanced knowledge of B2B communications and marketing best practices
  • Working knowledge of marketing technology and best practices for electronic communications
