Summary
The Manager, HRIS & Compensation designs, evaluates and administers compensation policies and programs that are in line with the firm’s business goals and ensures fairness of the compensation function. This position also conducts ongoing administration and project planning of the HR information system and performance management system.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compensation practices align and HR systems are aligned with the firm’s strategy and philosophy.
  • Develops and manages annual compensation programs, including salary and merit increases, and promotions.
  • Prepares compensation models and standardized compensation reporting.
  • Oversees analysis of compensation survey responses and ensures that the firm’s business staff positions remain competitive.
  • Oversees the maintenance and operation of the employee and position classification system.
  • Aligns fixed and variable pay practices according to performance appraisal program.
  • Oversees the formal job description review process for all jobs across the firm including complete position analysis, assigning exemption status based on Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines.
  • Leverages data and analyzes trends to develop actions to further support firm objectives.
  • Conducts analysis and recommendations for compensation actions.
  • Conducts financial modeling for constructing variable pay bonus pools and forecasting human capital related salary expenses.
  • Oversees variable pay award distributions, and fixed pay adjustments based on internal equity or market level adjustments.
  • Oversees implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance and integration of HR systems.
  • Evaluates HRIS functionality and recommends solutions based on HR technology strategy and overall business needs
  • Acts as a liaison to internal IT staff to ensure effective performance of the HRIS as it relates to technical issues, software upgrades and implementations.
  • Forecasts system capacity requirements and makes recommendations for appropriate improvements and/or expansion.
  • Identifies, analyzes and troubleshoots technical issues and deficiencies.
  • Develops and maintains accurate reports to support HR and business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) a plus
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in compensation administration.
  • 5 years of experience with HRIS management.
  • Advanced knowledge of market pricing and benchmarking jobs.
  • Strong compensation expertise required.
  • Experience working with cloud-based human capital management software.
  • Proficient knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws is required.
  • Excellent business orientation and ability to understand business units’ specific product/service value proposition and can translate their HR needs within larger context of company success and profitability.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; friendly, tactful, good ability to influence others.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly advanced Excel skills.
