Accounting Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Accounting for firm financial activities and compliance with standards for handling client funds, trust accounts and other assets under the firm’s
- Responsible for preparation and integrity of financial statements, reports, and analyses of existing and prospective timekeepers, clients and matters.
- Work with the firm’s outside accountants in preparation of tax returns and annual
- Prepare NYC Commercial Rent Tax returns and file NY/DC Sales & Use Tax
- Work with department managers on development of budgets, reports,
- Prepare monthly reports for the Managing
- Oversight of the firm’s billing system to assure that accurate and appropriate bills are rendered to clients in a timely
- Management of accounts receivable to support attorney efforts in
- Work with Accounts Payable Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate payment of
- Make recommendations to management on strategies for improving internal processes that maximize productivity and quality of
- Ad hoc responsibilities as
- Supervision of three staff members in the

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of related accounting experience in law firm
- Experience working with UK tax laws a
- Extensive knowledge of various e-billing platforms
- Strong communication, inter-personal and leadership skills
- Familiarity with Aderant a plus
