Marketing Coordinator

Summary
Support the needs of the transactional practices and in particular the private equity, funds and investment management practices, that the present marketing team supports and support programs and plans created to build market and community profiles of Firm across offices and practices.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Assist with the preparation of pitches, proposals, presentations and other client-facing materials, utilizing existing content and, when needed, creating new content.
- Assist the team with the preparation of responses to RFPs & RFIs, including execution and delivery.
- Assist with the coordination of practice group events, sponsorships, teleconferences, webinars and speaking engagements.
- Work with marketing systems and shared drives, including maintaining information about win/loss for RFPs, CRM database and assist with experience database updates.
- Update and maintain marketing materials, including practice profiles, attorney profiles and PowerPoint presentations.
- Coordinate directory submissions and other surveys in close collaboration with the BD team.
- Coordinate the production of client mailings including newsletters, invitations and other communications pieces.
- Conduct research of prospective targets, industries, markets, competition and conflicts via firm-wide resources, online databases, and utilization of library resources.
- Support BD team with general administrative tasks; update tracking documents, update information on spreadsheets, submit check requests and expense reports, etc.
- Provide back-up services to the team on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
Specific Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat skills required.
- Knowledge of on-line and electronic newswire services, media tracking and Internet research resources, and website marketing.

- Familiarity with accepted research techniques and databases typically used for competitive intelligence in a professional services company.

- Prior experience in proposal assembly and creation preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Normal office environment requiring extensive use of typical business equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, fax, and copiers). Candidate will be expected to move between floors and buildings on a regular basis to attend meetings and visit other internal offices. Constant sitting; frequent standing; occasional walking and bending; constant typing; frequent twisting; constant reading and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
Education/Training/Certifications
- An undergraduate degree, preferably in a marketing, business, research, or communications-related field.
Minimum Years of Experience Required
- Three or more years of demonstrated success in a marketing, research, management, and/or communications-related field, either in the professional services (g., law, accounting, or consulting) or in a comparable position(s) in the corporate, trade association, or academic sectors.
