Senior Business Development & Marketing Coordinator

Summary
Support the New York Business Development and Marketing Manager in all aspects of business development and marketing initiatives within the New York office.
The principal responsibilities and duties of the position will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare marketing materials for current and prospective clients, including office and practice group descriptions, proposals, RFP responses, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
- Support the firm, practice groups, and individual attorney’s business development initiatives and programs.
- Review, update and maintain the New York content on the firm website.
- Plan, provide direction and support for events, conference sponsorships, regional client entertainment and receptions, including invitation list development and invitation mailing, tracking RSVPs, organizing registration, preparing name tags, greeting attendees upon arrival, being accessible to address guests’ needs, preparing materials, reserving necessary equipment and facilities.
- Attend meetings and calls crucial to business development and cross-marketing partner lunches, BDC meetings and other committees.
- Assist with the implantation of business development training for associates.
- Assist with research regional market and national industry trends in order to identify client development opportunities and coordinate development of marketing literature and client presentations.
- Identify opportunities to increase individual attorney, GDC brand and office visibility, and new business.
- Assist with the identification, planning and execution of cross-marketing opportunities with existing firm clients.
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, proactive with a high energy level, and poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts are essential. The successful candidate must have the ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks under time pressure when necessary. Candidate must have the flexibility and creativity to respond productively to individualized needs of attorneys, work well with staff and react to difficult situations appropriately. Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are important, and knowledge of InterAction is a plus.
Education/Experience
Four-year college degree required. In addition, marketing experience in a professional services or law firm environment desired but not required.
