Practice Analyst

Premier, New York City, Real Estate, Law firm is looking for a Practice Analyst to join the firm.  The Practice Analyst will work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and Controller to analyze the various departments and cases within the firm and provide financial modeling and forecasting.

Position Overview

• Provide financial modeling, forecasting and analysis.
• Analyze data from attorneys, accounting department and Internal Systems.
• Prepare reports on departments and cases.
• Provide pricing estimates, budgeting and analysis on cases and matters.
• Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining best practices for departments and firm.
• Liaise with attorneys, management and accounting department on operating budget creation and review.
• Make recommendations, supported by data, about how to enhance firm profitability.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work closely with the different practice groups to prepare financial schedules and reports on cases to identify trends.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and productivity reports in a timely manner.
• Perform financial modeling and analysis on sensitive ad-hoc requests.
• Work closely with senior management to develop reports in an effort to assist with management of the practice groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Five plus years of relevant analytical experience.
• Law firm experience required.
• Superior Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create sophisticated re

• Self-motivated, organized, detail oriented critical thinker.
• Ability to work independently and think outside the box while setting priorities and managing deadlines.
