Billing Coordinator

Reporting to: Controller
Responsibilities
- Elite 3.10 experience a must, proficient in Elite billing reports for attorney inquiries.
- Preparation and distribution of bills for 25+ attorneys
- Assist in client collections as needed
- Respond to attorneys and staff inquiries both oral and written to discuss billing statements, status of payments, aged account receivable, and requests of copies of bills
- Assist attorneys with bill production tasks, including preparing and editing draft bills and final bills
- E-Billing Experience Required / E-Hub thru Elite
- Edit time entries for legal secretaries and attorneys as requested
- Record and update client’s special billing arrangements including tracking discounts.
- Monthly partner billing/split bills/joint bills/delayed bills/volume discounts
- Prepare spreadsheets on outstanding Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable as requested
- Distribute monthly client statements
- Review month-end reports to ensure reconciliation
- Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the Firm
Abilities and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 4 years billing experience in a law firm
- Experience with Elite billing software required, version 3.10
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and track extensive details and establish priorities
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others
- Flexibility for overtime as needed, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Willingness to work with and assist other billers in accomplishing work assignments
- Pleasant and cooperative attitude
- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
