ERISA Paralegal

Job Description
The ERISA Paralegal will provide administrative and paralegal support to the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group to assist the group in achieving its primary end goals of efficiently and effectively serving its internal and external clients. The ERISA Paralegal will work closely with all attorneys in the group.
Responsibilities
- Assist associates in performing legal due diligence of companies involved in M&A transactions and prepare written reports and summaries of findings
- Work with the group’s attorneys and practice management counsel to maintain the group’s database of documents and other resources
- Maintain the ERISA components of the private funds database
- Gather and disseminate relevant legal news to the group’s attorneys
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal work product
- Track associate staffing and maintain the group’s deal database
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
- Minimum 3+ or more years of prior work experience as a paralegal in a Corporate Department is required and experience in an EBEC practice a plus;
- High level of competency in Microsoft Word and Excel, database management and data analysis;
- Prior experience with Lotus Notes helpful;
- Proactive, analytical, energetic and hardworking team player;
- Exceptionally well organized and detail oriented;
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment;
- Adaptable to ever changing priorities;
- Demonstrated organizational skills and project management;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
