Marketing Communications Content Specialist

Summary

The Marketing Communications Content Specialist will assist with the development of marketing communications content for both internal and external use for the Firm. 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the creation and implementation of awareness campaigns focused on Firm initiatives, with topics ranging from Firm culture and diversity to pro bono commitment and practice development;
  • Researching, writing and editing copy for a variety of internal and external marketing purposes, including ad copy, Firm announcements, alumni stories and recruiting collateral;
  • Understanding Firm culture, priorities and voice in approaching assigned projects, writing copy and editing multimedia content to align both with Firm values and business development goals;
  • Collaborating with colleagues across departments and providing counsel on strategy for internal communications, creatively approaching new projects and thinking “outside the box” about new opportunities;
  • Working closely with design colleagues to source and incorporate video and similar multimedia elements in materials in order to maximize impact in storytelling;
  • Writing speeches and talking points for partner use at internal and external events;
  • Assisting with managing vendor support on projects related to content development for web and print;
  • Assisting in developing content for the Firm’s social media pages and internal newsletter; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with high academic standing. Writing intensive majors are preferred;
  • At least five (5) years of writing/editing experience required, with graphics or multimedia experience helpful;
  • Experience within a law firm or other professional services firm preferred but not required;
  • Ability to write compelling copy clearly and concisely, with excellent grammar;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Ability to work diplomatically and collaboratively with partners and professional staff at all levels;
  • Strong focus on client service and responsiveness;
  • Professional demeanor, with ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion;
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with challenging deadlines; and
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis.
