Legal Recruiting Assistant-Temp

M-F, 9am-5pm

Summary
The temporary Legal Recruiting Assistant will support the On Campus & Entry Level Recruiting team in the recruitment of law students for the firm.
Responsibilities
- Schedule 2L candidate interviews. Interact with candidates/attorneys.
- Prepare all 2L candidate materials and interview schedules online.
- Assist with coordinating all candidate travel.
- Update 2L summer status sheets.
- Prepare statistical charts and information using Excel.
- Prepare/update attorney lists by college, law school, department etc.
- Prepare materials for on campus interviewers.
- Assist with law school recruiting events.
- Update and be familiar with the viDesktop databases.
- Coordinate materials for Summer Program Orientation.
- Prepare summer calendars/programs for all offices.
- As needed, escort candidates to appropriate meeting places, make introductions.
- Provide administrative/clerical support to the team, answering telephone calls, taking messages and arranging conference calls.
- Keep track of open items and initiate timely follow-up.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably within a legal recruiting department.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Prior experience with database entry is helpful.
- Must be able to comport oneself professionally as a representative of the firm in an array of situations, interacting with all levels of the organization, candidates, and various external resources.
- Excellent phone skills are necessary.
- Strong verbal and written skills are required.
- Exceptional organizational skills are necessary.
- Ability to maintain a reliable attendance record.
- Arrive to work in a timely manner and observe work break and meal periods.
- An attitude of cooperation with legal staff, peers and administrators.
- Ability to determine solutions to challenges and to prioritize.
