The Business Development Coordinator will primarily support the business development and marketing initiatives for their Intellectual Property and Fintech practices. This position reports to the Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Participate in planning, preparing and implementing the Business Development Department’s initiatives, including any of the following: pitch/proposal; RFP responses, cross-selling activities, and promotion of best practices;
- Collaborate on key client and industry initiatives;
- Support the development and execution of annual business plans for both developing practices and client relationships;
- Provide support in the preparation, editing, coordination and dissemination of materials including pitch/proposal;
- Maintain and update the Business Development practice descriptions;
- Assist in the implementation of seminars and events;
- Participate in Business Development departmental cross-training;
- Work overtime as required; and
- Handle additional Business Development and marketing projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree;
- At least 2 years of marketing experience;
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred);
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Advanced proficiency in online research and internet resources (Lexis-Nexis and equivalents);
- Fundamental proficiency in English language usage, including punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing skills;
- Fundamental knowledge of marketing principles, procedures, concepts and practical applications;
- Fundamental knowledge of the needs and expectations of law firm operations and corporate legal clients in order to function at a strategic level; and
- Fundamental knowledge of legal concepts.
