Senior Tax Analyst

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Summary
General responsibilities include coordination of all tax aspects of an international law firm with offices throughout the U.S., as well as, in London and France. He/she will be instrumental in refining and enforcing tax controls and procedures in connection with the U.S. office, as well as, promoting excellence in a service oriented, team environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate year-end tax audit and review.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of tax information to the Firm and attorneys.
- Track and maintain records on the status of all tax returns.
- Oversee tax system and generation of scheduled and ad hoc reports.
- Ensure timely filings and compliance with domestic and international tax laws.
- Reconcile partnership, individual and miscellaneous tax returns/filings to supporting documentation.
- Work with external Audit Divisions on specific tax requests.
- Monitor internal and external deadlines related to tax elections.
- Participate in month/year-end general ledger balancing to tax reporting.
- Respond to attorney questions and provide understanding of Firm’s tax structure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or graduate degree in taxation.
- CPA license a plus.
- 4-5 years of related tax experience.
- Experience working in an international organization required; must be able to interact in a multicurrency environment.
- Experience with professional service organizations cash or tax basis of reporting is highly desirable.
- Significant experience in partnership, pass-through entities, and individual tax returns.
- Public accounting background, with an emphasis on tax.
- Detail and service oriented.
- A self-starter and team player with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong with written and oral communication skills.
