Litigation Paralegal

The Boston office of a premier, forward thinking, global, law firm is seeking a career litigation paralegal who is a responsible and proactive professional willing to take a leading role in supporting the office’s dynamic litigation practice group. The preferred candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience having helped managed all facets of the litigation life-cycle.  Candidates must have the ability and demonstrated track record providing case management on large complex matters, with a thorough understanding of the e-discovery process and high level of proficiency utilizing litigation support software, such as Concordance and Relativity; extensive trial prep experience is also preferred. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: working closely with and assisting the firm’s Litigation & E-Discovery Services department on electronic data collection and database management; proactively managing all phases of discovery; assisting with various court filings at the Appellate, Federal, and State court levels; maintaining and organizing case files; conducting factual and legal research; cite checking and shepardizing briefs and legal memoranda; and managing case calendar and electronic case rooms. Applicants are required to have a BA/BS degree and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.  Applicants must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track extensive details, have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel, and handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly. Overtime will be required, occasionally on short notice.
