Summary
Business Development Senior Specialist, Financial Institutions will focus on providing support to the firm’s industry initiative, a strategic priority designed to grow firm revenue and profitability. The specialist will assist and work alongside the industry managers to conduct research, analysis on a variety of topics related to the financial institutions industry and key client initiatives; prepare presentations, reports, pitches and RFP responses working in close collaboration with various members of the firm’s Marketing and Business Development team.
Primary Responsibilities
Industry and client business research and analysis
- Help maintain business development action items for key clients; work to develop dashboard for each of the key clients to help track progress, identify opportunities and begin process of building out metrics; distribute monthly report to the respective coverage team.
- Help coordinate coverage team meetings; take notes and distribute discussion points.
- Coordinate contact and activity information input into InterAction and other internal and external relationship management tools. Build out relationship mapping for key clients in industry to help track activity against current contacts versus prospects.
- Help identify appropriate industry events and conferences; track ROI and follow ups.
- Maintain and update relevant industry web pages and internal industry-related sites.
- Research and gather business intelligence about key trends in the financial services industry and for the key clients.
- Research competitive intelligence using external and internal research and financial databases.
Pitches, legal directories and marketing collateral
- Assist in developing tailored pitches, proposals and presentations and other marketing materials specific to client and industry.
- Assist in preparing relevant directory submissions for industry, as applicable.
- Ensure industry-related collateral (brochures, capability presentations, web content) and noteworthy deal lists are reviewed, tracked and updated on a quarterly basis.

Education & Experience
- 2-5 years of work experience in professional services or law firm business development or marketing role.
- 4 year college degree or equivalent required.
- Experience with planning and preparing pitches, presentations and other marketing materials required.
- Experience working across variety of office locations, cultures and time zones.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, InterAction; familiarity in working with any desktop publishing software would be a plus.
