Business Development Coordinator

Summary
The Business Development Coordinator works in close collaboration with the Business Development Manager, market team and colleagues across departments to support key market priorities and objectives, including global strategic issues and initiatives impacting the region. The Business Development Coordinator will leverage his or her research and analytical skills to support the engagement, retention and expansion of new and existing client relationships, and to increase visibility for the lawyers in the market.
Responsibilities
- Research, analysis and reporting of key data and intelligence to support market, industry and client analysis and targeting; including information from qualitative and quantitative sources.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of written communications and collateral materials that support the firm’s marketing strategy; proactively delivering research and analysis to support the new business, client events and client feedback processes.
- Drafting and submission of content for league tables, legal directories and related industry guides
- Collaborating with lawyers and BD and PR teams on speaking opportunities, webinars and other visibility initiatives for the market
- Supporting additional projects that tie to overall business development objectives, as needed
Requirements
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson, PitchBook, VentureSource and other research tools a plus.
- High degree of discretion and independent judgment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience within a law firm or professional services environment is preferred
