Job Description

Support the Associate Director, Business Development-Corporate with all aspects of business development initiatives for the Corporate Department. Act as a liaison to other teams and provide administrative support to contribute towards the overall success of the Business Development department.

Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions

  • Help update and maintain frequently used collateral (e.g. attorney biographies, practice and industry descriptions and experience lists, etc.)
  • Coordinate and secure information from other major data compilers for marketing and business development, including wins tracking and CRM system.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining various tracking systems that support BD efforts for Transactional practices.
  • Assist with research and competitive intelligence projects that support BD initiatives.
  • Liaise with other teams-Deal Reporting, Digital Content and CRM-in the Business Development Department on various administrative projects.
  • Help to update and maintain various Firm mailings lists used for event and client mailings, including data entry and research.
  • Assist with drafting legal directory submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000 for the Transactional practices as needed.
  • Assist on other special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum of 2 years of corporate experience at a peer law firm with 1 year of BD experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with Thomson, Bloomberg and mergermarket preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, analytical and researching skills; ability to synthesize data and accurately capture it in a narrative.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and high pressure environment; must possess a very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours and on weekends as required.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent time management, project management skills and sound judgment required.
  • Positive attitude and ability to coordinate efforts with others in department as a solid “team player”.
  • Excellent computer skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
