AV Technician
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday / 9:00 – 5:00 PM
Summary
We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrated drive, dedication, professionalism and a positive attitude. This position will serve as the primary resource for setting up, providing support and identifying AV needs for events and meetings in the New York Office. This includes PowerPoint/WebEx presentations, video conferencing, lectures and panel discussions, video recording as well as other AV technologies. The PC / AV Technician will partner with IT staff from other locations for setting up and supporting interoffice audio/video conferencing meetings.
The individual will partner with Help Desk, Desktop and Network personnel to assist in resolving technical issues and maintain a functional and technically up-to-date computing environment.
Requirements
- Set-up projectors and laptops as requested for events, meetings and conferences.
- Set-up and establish video conferencing sessions.
- Perform weekly inspections to ensure Audio/Video equipment and events room is operational.
- Maintain calendar of scheduled events and configures Audio/Video equipment for specified event.
- Provide Audio/Video support during firm events, meetings and conferences.
- Provide training and assists staff with Audio/Video needs.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues.
- Contact vendors for equipment repairs.
- Maintain issues log and repair status of equipment.
- Perform office moves of IT equipment (PCs, printers, phones, etc.).
- Work with Help Desk and technical staff to identify and resolve issues relating to desktop environment.
- Setup desktops, laptops, printers and projectors as requested for meetings/presentation.
- Speak with end users for feedback on system performance.
Requirements
- A two year degree from a college or technical school or equivalent job-related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Audio/Video Conferencing technologies.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team.
- Build strong relationships with all levels of the firm.
- Ability to work well under pressure and can emit confidence in supporting technology.
- Must be able to represent oneself professionally as a representative of the firm in an array of situations, interacting with all levels of the organization and various external resources.
