Business Development Senior Specialist

Job Description

The Business Development Senior Specialist is responsible for leveraging his or her research and analysis skills to support our internal client’s efforts to engage, retain and expand new and existing firm relationships, and to target and secure new clients and referral sources. In close collaboration with the Business Development Manager, practice office leadership and global Business Development colleagues, the Business Development Senior Specialist supports progress against key market priorities and objectives, including global strategic goals and initiatives affecting the market.

The successful Business Development Senior Specialist is accountable for developing internal reports for specific markets or practice initiatives to aid in driving revenue growth. The position will require collaboration with the Market Team and across the Business Development Department as well as other functional departments at the firm. The individual must be a self-starter and motivated to excel.

Responsibilities

  • Researching, analyzing and reporting of key data to support market, industry and client analysis and targeting
  • Delivering research and analysis to support new business, client programs and client feedback initiatives, may include oral presentations
  • Developing recommendations based on financial reporting, market and client analysis, and business development strategies for target industries and companies
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of written communications and collateral materials that support the firm’s business development strategy

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • High degree of discretion and independent judgment
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson, PitchBook, VentureSource, and other research tools a plus

A Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of five (5) years of client development and progressive research and analysis experience is preferred. Occasional travel may be required.
