Summary
As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting various types of research (internet/website research, internal database such as CVue, Summation), review public information, (i.e. SEC reports), print and flag documents in database, and set up and maintain Case and Wiki pages; Assist with everything from general litigation support to trials, trial preparation and discovery/document review; Manage cases, maintain case rooms and case materials for duration of matter; Review outlines and briefs to identify documents for binders and/or exhibits; Prepare and assist with depositions, case binders and exhibit lists; Attend trials and arbitrations; Draft correspondence to clients, experts, and opposing counsels, pack and send material via mail, FedEx, courier, pouch, UPS, online drop box; Legal Assistants may also be asked to make trips outside office to do picks up/drops off collateral, notarize documents, proofread documents, and create hyperlinks to documents.
Requirements
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years prior experience at a major law firm as a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal; Must be proficient with Relativity, Lexis/Nexis, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, e-filing, FileSite or DeskSite.
