Summary

The Legal Personnel Coordinator will support the Litigation Department needs by working closely with the Director of Legal Personnel – Litigation Department and be instrumental in supporting the Litigation Department’s needs. This role will work closely with practice leaders, BD department senior management team, as well as operational teams throughout the firm to develop and execute on key initiatives and business plan objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Litigation Department leadership to support the ongoing projects and reporting requested by the Litigation Chairs and Partners
  • Collaborate with Financial Team for database and reporting requests to assist the leadership teams with presentations and staffing
  • Demonstrate excellence by acting as main resource for general associate inquiries
  • Support the attorney evaluation and compensation processes by updating binders and sending evaluations to partners as requested
  • Assist with staffing matters as needed by utilizing reporting and quickly responding to partner queries
  • Coordinate scheduling of meetings and prepare presentation materials by coordinating with internal teams such as Conference Services, Concierge, Legal Personnel , Finance

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related work experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
  • Knowledge of or experience with litigation work highly desirable
  • Proactive, energetic, hardworking team player
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Must have highly developed organizational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and sense of confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability to work overtime on certain occasions
