Business Development Coordinator-Temporary

New York, NY or Roseland, NJ   

Summary

The coordinator will report to the Business Development Manager and work closely with the Business Development and Marketing team to conceive of and execute projects.   

Responsibilities

  • Assists in utilizing Word, Excel and PowerPoint to prepare firm and practice group materials using prepared templates;
  • Assists in utilizing Word, Excel and PowerPoint to prepare custom firm and practice group materials for pitches and events;
  • Gather, organize, and draft matter descriptions to maintain group experience lists;
  • Provides editorial support as needed, including preparing short summaries of materials and editing and proofing of documents;
  • Prepares materials connected to events including invitations, signage, leave-behinds, and other materials, working with the firm’s events team;
  • Works with the marketing assistant and events team to identify appropriate branded promotional items and maintain appropriate levels of inventory;
  • Other special projects and support for marketing and business development initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • College degree. Communications, or Marketing major preferred.
  • One to four years’ experience in marketing or communications; Prior experience in a professional services organization is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent judgment; asks the right questions; Detail oriented
  • Expert level in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively with other team members; strong relationship-building skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Able to communicate clearly verbally and in-writing

Salary: Hourly, dependent on experience
