Digital Marketing Specialist

Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Specialist is the primary project manager for the firm’s public websites, overseeing day-to-day administration, technical fixes, and strategic improvements. This role collaborates with third-party vendors, lawyers, Business Development and Information Systems Department to plan, execute, evaluate and continuously improve digital initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute high-level strategy for firm website and career site.
  • Manage ongoing relationship with external vendors (website developers and website host). Set priorities and goals while maintaining an active pipeline of bug fixes, security updates and enhancement requests.
  • Research, plan, test and launch new website features that further firm strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, document and improve daily processes such as content updates and data feeds.
  • Maintain and optimize the firm’s Google Analytics account while regularly producing actionable reports. Actively review and resolve issues in Google Webmaster Tools.
  • Plan and execute firm webcasts, including invitation 2 campaigns, logistical planning with lawyers and A/V and analytics reporting.
  • Provide strategic support for firm blogs, including backend administration, user training and analytics reporting.
  • Provide regular digital marketing training/refresher sessions to colleagues in the Business Development Department.
  • Prepare and present reports for firm leadership and key stakeholders, showcasing digital communications statistics while sharing plans for improvement.
  • Function as a strategic partner to lawyers and administrative departments. Provide structure, guidance and creativity while crafting a multi-channel campaign. Assess needs and opportunities, while also setting goals, tracking progress and focusing on ROI.
  • Serve as primary project manager for future redesign and rebuild of firm website.
  • Regularly assess website and other marketing technology needs, through competitive research and attendance at educational seminars/conferences. 

Qualifications/Position Requirements

  • Strong experience with Drupal; working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with website best practices, including browser/device testing, SEO, SEM, UX, accessibility, mobile optimization, landing page and user funnel optimization, etc.
  • Previous experience with ESP/CRM integrations and SSL certificates preferred
  • Previous experience with email marketing, CRM and WordPress software preferred
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time-management skills, with a proactive approach to anticipating obstacles and meeting deadlines
  • Keen interest in leveraging technology to increase efficiencies and continuously improve user experiences

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-8 years’ experience in a professional services environment (law firm experience preferred)
