Overview
Top, law firm is currently recruiting for a Senior Business Development Analyst for its Investigations and White Collar Criminal Defense practice. This role will work closely with the Litigation partnership to drive thought leadership and enhance the BD initiatives and marketing strategies for the Investigations and White Collar Criminal Defense practice and the Firm.

This practice has been ranked among the top in the nation by industry publications such as Chambers USA, The Legal 500 United States, Benchmark Litigation, Global Investigations Review, U.S. News-Best Lawyers’ “Best Law Firms” and The Best Lawyers in America. Chambers USA noted the Firm’s “strong bench of experienced criminal defense attorneys” and “strength in handling investigations and litigation involving securities fraud and anti-corruption matters.” The Legal 500 United States described this practice team as “succinct, refined, user-friendly, and very well versed in the ways of the regulators.” In 2017, this practice was involved in three of the biggest white collar matters on record.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and summarizing practice-specific news and other significant developments using internal and external databases;
  • Tracking and monitoring developments regarding practice-specific matters and providing routine reports to the practice group and BD professionals;
  • Drafting practice matter descriptions for use in marketing materials;
  • Maintaining and updating practice marketing content, including matter descriptions, practice overviews and lawyer biographies;
  • Creating and editing practice-specific responses to RFP’s, pitches and presentations;
  • Conducting research on current and prospective clients, competitor activity and industry market trends;
  • Supporting marketing objectives by identifying speaking opportunities for practice group leaders, identifying potential BD opportunities for the practice and collaborating with the PR team on practice-specific messaging and press outreach efforts;
  • Working with practice group leaders and BD professionals to develop and implement practice-specific programs and seminars;
  • Working with BD professionals to help prepare practice-specific submissions to legal ranking publications; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or related field; J.D. a plus;
  • 2-4 years relevant experience working within the Litigation Practice, with a specific focus on White Collar Crime and Internal Investigations;
  • Strong research and qualitative analytical skills and ability to synthesize information and facts;
  • Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities to meet time-sensitive deadlines, as well as prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude, and proven ability to work and partner well within a team setting;
  • Availability to work additional hours in keeping with workflow, as needed.
